Seal rests onshore today

A velvety, golden subadult seal rested in a tucked away spot today. The rainy weather kept walking traffic to a minimum and the seal was able to have a nice doze in the mist. The seal was a bit thin, but was very alert and largely unnoticed as passersby walked above him. Piernan (shown below right with his dad) named the seal “Kenny”. Also shown is volunteer Larry explaining to Alejandro and his dad the reason the seal was resting on the rocks below. Both children observed quietly as he slept.
